Microdermabrasion _{(Non Accredited)}

This Microdermabrasion post graduate course covers the theory and practical knowledge of skin resurfacing treatments. Microdermabrasiona is a popular skin rejuvenation procedure that is in demand in salons. The skills to perform this treatment is a great asset for any skin care therapist to have. You will learn; application of both diamond and crystal Microdermabrasion methods. You will be provided with; a full comprehensive training manual, practical training and statement of attainment on completion.

Course Outcomes

Face and Neck Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic Drainage Massage is a unique manual technique which uses a range of gentle rhythmic pumping techniques to move the skin in the direction of the lymph flow. This stimulates the lymphatic vessels that carry substances vital to the defence of the body, and removes waste products. This course is provided with a full comprehensive training manual, practical training and certificate on completion.

Course Content

In this course students will learn how to apply face and neck lymphatic drainage massage techniques that may be combined with other treatments such as facials, microdermabrasion or offered as a stand-alone treatment. This course will cover anatomy of the lymphatic system, the location of nodes and drainage patterns, as well as contraindications and indications for lymphatic drainage massage.

Course Outcomes

After completion of this course you will be able to confidently perform Face and Neck Lymphatic Drainage on clients. You will be able to treat puffiness or discolouration under the eyes, acne, couperose and sensitive skin. Lymphatic drainage has been called a facelift without surgery because treatment to the face and neck reduces puffiness, revives the skin and circulation and inhibits the ageing process. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment in Face and Neck Lymphatic Drainage.

Advanced Skin Science _{(Non Accredited)}

This course has been designed specifically for people who need a background knowledge of skin science to pursue a career in advanced facial treatments such as;  laser, IPL or Dermabrasion. This course is run by distance education.

Entry Requirements

No previous knowledge of beauty therapy is required to enrol in the Advanced Skin Science short course. However, you must have a minimum of Year 10 literacy and numeracy skills or English skills equivalent to a minimum of level two of the Australian Second Language Proficiency Rating.

After successful completion of the course you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment.

Brazilian Waxing _{(Non Accredited)}

Brazilian Waxing is a popular treatment in salons today. We will give you the skills to be able to perform this skill with confidence. You will be required to bring models to practice on.

Entry Requirements

Therapists enrolling in Brazilian waxing must have a Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy, Certificate III in Beauty Services or have a Statement of Attainment in Depilatory Waxing. You must be confident in the application of hot and strip wax.
